There hasn't been any deformations after 30hours of printing but I also haven't done any 10hour+ prints.Ĭan you make one that doesn't require threaded inserts?ĭoes this weigh more than the stock cooling assembly?ĭo I have to print with everything supported?Īctually no, the inside of the part cooling shroud doesn't need supports when printed on an Ender 3v2 with the Briss cooling shroud, but I will leave that on you to create a custom support blocker. Maybe, I wouldn't recommend it but at the same time mine is currently printed in PLA. There are many methods to connect 2x 12v fans to the Ender 3 S1. If you go for a buck convert, resistors, run the fans in series. (The existing cable to too short to nicely route it)Ĭonnect cables, this will be on you how you decide to wire it up. Screw the CR-Touch into the shroud and route the cable using the groove in-front the hot-end cooling fan. (3 screws are more than enough to keep it secure). 2x from the CR-Touch, 1x from the existing fan shroud and 1x from the 4 bolts that are used to attach the hot-end to the X-Axis bracket. You will be using 4x M3 bolts that come with the printer. Screw the Fan Shroud onto the hot-end assembly. I used a soldering iron and pre screwed the M3 bolts so that melted plastic doesn't get stuck inside the inserts making it very hard to fully screw the bolts in. You can probably get away with using some adhesive for the fans and bed levelling probe but I don't recommend it (You can get away with 0 if you want to use glue)Ģx M2.5 Threaded inserts.
